Ahoy there me hearties for EYFS Pirate Day!

EYFS had a jolly pirate adventure recently, it was lovely to see pupils, and even some adults, dressed up as pirates for their special pirate day at Lower Swaines.

But before they could set off there was preparation to be done! To get ready pupils decorated their cardboard pirate ship, listened to pirate instrumental music and did their pirate dance.

Then they noticed that there was a special roll of parchment in the classroom so read it together before making thier way to Lower Swaines. It said they needed to complete lots of challenges to open the treasure chest!

These challenges included playing Shark Island, Treasure Island, Cannonball Throw and Walk the Plank (with lots of shade/water breaks in between). Oak and Elm also enjoyed eating their Pirate Picnic lunches in the shade.

After succsefully completing complete all the missions the treasure chest was able to be opened – inside was another message congratulating everyone and saying that their special treasure treat was pirate stickers and ice-pops!

Well done EYFS! And a big thank you to the parent helpers who came along to support - it was only possible with your help.
